Jason Carter deservedly took top spot in round 2 of the JJ final series. He topped the qualifying scores with 13 points and added to that with wins in both his semi-final and the final. His gating was superb all meeting and the final was no exception. He shot from gate 1 and nobody got anywhere near him. Behind him Simon Leadbitter overcame a sloppy start to overhaul first Logan Bremner and then Ethan Ashby. Taking Ashby on the run to the line to snatch second place. This denied Ashby an extra point and has allowed Carter to join him at the top of the standings. Just behind them sits Jake Osgood and Ellis Nelson both of whom exited at the semi-final stage. Also making the semis were Harvey Hedge, who keeps his title chances alive, and Alfie Goodwin who made up for a poor first round.

Paul Hibbern had a disastrous meeting scoring only 2 points which has put him out of contention. One of the favourites for the title, Liam Gilbertson, again didn't make the semis and James Knight was plagued with mechanical issues which hindered his scoring. Unattached Shane Boulger again showed up well and will be on manager's radars when the junior draft picks begin.

With one round to go it looks like the title will be between Ashby, Carter, Osgood, Nelson, Hedge and Leadbitter. So it's all off to the Wullie Ness Memorial Park in a week's time for an exciting end to the series.
