| Hayden Wood won his second British title, after missing out on a rostrum place last season, with a flying display to head off 3 times World Champion Nick Ambrose by a single point. Fellow GP rider Chris Adams completed the rostrum places. With the trio not needing to qualify from this meeting the battle for a GP Challenge Semi Final spot went all the way down the field. David Bedford, Dennis Groves & Mark Briggs were fairly comfortable qualifiers. Jamie Vaughan recovered from an early engine failure to score solidly and make progress. The final spot went to Rhodri Szczygiel when he beat experienced Bridges and fellow rising star Craven in a run off. |
